Success at the ”6 hours of Nürburgring”

Aston Martin Racing and BILSTEIN on podium – twice!

The 4th run in the FIA WEC (World Endurance Championship) on 24 July spoiled fans with perfect track conditions and a white-knuckle race. BILSTEIN, too, had good reason to cheer by the end of it, given that the famous suspension manufacturer’s products climbed the winners’ podium not once but twice: first place in the GTE Am class, and 3rd place in the GTE Pro class – and each time with an Aston Martin Racing vehicle.

The BILSTEIN MDS (Modular Damper System) with four-way adjustment was wrapped into two gorgeous Aston Martin V8 Vantage types, which were employed in accordance with GTE Am and GTE Pro class rules. In the "amateur class", the winners were Paul Dalla Lana (C), Pedro Lamy (P) and Mathias Lauda (A). After several fine attempts, number 98 managed to claim the lead and remained unchallenged for the final three laps of the race. Lauda summarises: "It was fantastic. This is our second win this year already."

Nicki Thiim and Marco Sørensen were a little less lucky in number 95. After putting up a good fight, the two pilots from Denmark ultimately lost ground due to slightly unfortunate timing. Nevertheless, it was enough to claim 3rd place in the GTE Pro class.
