Exciting trio for the German AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix

BILSTEIN shows classic SL, Porsche 928 and BMW 2002

The legendary BMW 02 planted the seed for the BMW 3 Series, offering very much drive as the powerful 2002 from the late 1960s. The “pagoda top” SL came into the inheritance of the famous Roadsters 190 SL and 300 SL a few years before. As a result, the Porsche 928 was prematurely hailed as the successor of the iconic 911 in the 1970s. The V8 Porsche still wrote an exciting piece of technological history, however, and as a late GTS version, it has a particularly great temperament. BILSTEIN was represented in three exciting episodes from automotive history, expressed as exhibits on wheels at the  AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix in the famous Nürburgring.

From August 12th to 14th,  the varied and largest classic car race in continental Europe also presented amazing cars as an exhibition in the paddock. The three attractive metal shells from BILSTEIN contained monotube gas-pressure shock absorbers with racing characteristics. The BILSTEIN experts not only offered visitors a feast for the eyes, they also provided advice and help for the enthusiasts on their own vehicles. If the original shock absorbers are no longer available for a car with road approval, the BILSTEIN department for special customer requests can help. They can recreate original shock absorbers or refurbish old units. For many historic vehicles, the current range offers a sufficient number of original or performance components. Customers can always find a suspension solution at BILSTEIN, which makes use of all possibilities.
